Terminology. VLM
Have you ever heard the term VLM?
What does that even mean?
VLM stands for very low moisture. Carpet cleaning is basically washing your carpet. While you may want a tub of hot water when you are taking a bath, you do not want a lot of water on your carpet.
Your carpet cleaner should use enough hot water, at least 220 degrees, to flush out stains, soil and germs. Your carpet should never be saturated..
The main reason you should select VLM is because it will dry faster and delay re-soiling. Typically, using VLM will allow your carpets to dry within 2 hours.
Keep Calm Carpet Cleaning uses VLM because it is considered more environmentally friendly. We give our clients ‘souvenir booties’ in case you need to walk on your carpet before it is completely dry.
So the next time you’re at Bunco or a back yard BBQ, you can dazzle your friends with your knowledge of VLM carpet cleaning.
